Investors & partners
Founder-owned, and funded by the work itself.
The services side pays for the products side. That means we don’t need capital to keep going — which is exactly the position we’d want to be in before taking any.
Where we stand
No round open.
We are not currently raising
There’s no open round, no deck doing the rounds, and no external shareholders. We’d rather say that plainly than run a permanent soft-raise. If that changes, it will be announced on Updates first.
How we think about it
What would have to be true.
We're not opposed to capital — we're opposed to taking it for the wrong reason. These are the conditions under which it would make sense.
It buys speed we can't buy otherwise
Not runway
We already have revenue. Capital would only make sense to compress a timeline that money can genuinely compress — hiring ahead of demand for a product with proven pull, not funding a search for one.
The product has demonstrated pull
Evidence first
We test demand before we build — publishing a page and counting who puts their hand up. We'd want the same standard of evidence before scaling spend against it.
The partner has done this before
Operators over allocators
Money is the least interesting part of an investment. Distribution into small-business channels, or scars from running a multi-tenant product, are worth more than the cheque.
It survives the honest version
Both directions
We publish the reasons our products might fail. We'd expect the same candour back, and any conversation that needs optimism to hold together isn't one worth having.
Partnerships
Other ways this can work.
Most useful relationships aren't equity. These are the ones we're actively open to.
Distribution partners
Associations, franchises, networks
If you represent a group of small businesses that all wrestle with the same scattered numbers, there's a version of COVIS Pulse that fits your members and a revenue share that makes it worth your while.
Platform & integration partners
Connectors
Pulse's value scales with what it can read. If you run a platform that small businesses already pay for, a connector benefits both sides of the relationship.
Sponsorship
Case-by-case
We'll consider sponsoring or being sponsored where the audience genuinely overlaps. We won't take placements that we wouldn't recommend to a client.
Referral
For the services side
Send work to the Business side and we'll pay a referral fee on anything that closes. Terms agreed in writing before anyone starts.
